Urgent: Drug Crisis, Safe Supply & Decriminalization – Actionable Solutions for Municipal Leaders
Assessing the Consequences of Safe Supply & Decriminalization
Dear Municipal Leader’s,
I am reaching out regarding an issue that is devastating municipalities across Canada: the worsening opioid crisis, fueled by failed drug decriminalization and safe supply policies. While these initiatives were intended to reduce harm, they have instead led to increased crime, public disorder, overdose deaths, and a rise in drug-fueled violence—issues that municipalities are being forced to manage.
Attached to this email is a comprehensive municipal report:
"The Impact of Government Drug Policies on Canadian Communities: Assessing the Consequences of Safe Supply & Decriminalization."
This report provides actionable solutions that municipalities can implement today to restore order, protect public safety, and push for change at the provincial and federal levels.
Additionally, I encourage you to watch and share the following documentary:
▶ The Deadliest Scandal in Canadian History (by Aaron Gunn) – Watch here
This film exposes how misguided drug policies have led to more than 50,000 opioid-related deaths—more Canadian casualties than the entire Second World War.
Why This Issue Must Be Addressed at the Municipal Level
During my speaking tour across Alberta and meetings with elected representatives, one issue kept coming up: rising drug use and its impact on communities. Many officials are looking for solutions, and I worked to show how failed urban planning, high-density "sustainable development" promoted by the UN, ICLEI, and FCM have contributed to displacing rural and small-town Canadians, leading to:
Mental health issues & addiction
The urban crisis—housing shortages, rising homelessness, and crime
Small-town economic collapse, forcing more people into vulnerable situations
Some municipal leaders understood the bigger picture, while others focused solely on the immediate crisis. That is why we have prepared this report—offering real, practical solutions for municipalities.
Key Findings from the Report:
✔ Over 50,000 opioid deaths since 2016—more than WWII casualties.
✔ A 50% increase in violent crime nationwide since decriminalization policies took effect.
✔ Over 90% of “safe supply” opioids are being resold on the black market, often reaching youth and organized crime networks.
✔ Businesses are closing due to rising crime and disorder.
✔ Municipalities are left to deal with the fallout—overwhelmed emergency services, law enforcement stretched thin, and declining public safety.
Actionable Solutions for Municipal Leaders:
✔ Pass bylaws to prohibit public drug use in parks, transit areas, and business districts.
✔ Regulate or revoke permits for drug consumption sites that contribute to crime and disorder.
✔ Demand that provincial and federal governments defund “safe supply” programs and reinvest in treatment and recovery programs.
✔ Declare a public safety emergency if overdose deaths and crime rates continue to rise.
✔ Strengthen law enforcement measures and community safety initiatives to combat drug-fueled crime.
Why This is Personal for Me
This issue is deeply personal. I grew up in a small town and struggled with drug addiction as a teenager. At 18, I went to rehab, got clean, and never used again. Many of my friends weren’t as fortunate—they have since died from overdoses.
This is why I am passionate about advocating for real solutions that help people recover, rather than perpetuating addiction through failed policies. Municipalities cannot wait for federal and provincial governments to fix this problem—local action is needed now.
I urge you to review the attached report, watch the documentary, and take steps to protect your community. If you would like to discuss policy options or strategies, I would be happy to connect.

It seems to me as some sort of evil intension all wrapped up in the CLOAK OF COMPASSION, when in reality nothing could be further from the truth. Very interesting documentary.
Money is one hell of a motivator to kill, maim, and injure,.. just ask Bill Gates et al (Henry, Eby, Trudeau and Ford for example not to mention a few mayors and councillors). They distribute drugs "intentionally", and yet they still roam free. Those who take the benefit must bear the burden. Gov't is not the solution,.. gov't people are the root cause of this problem. Bribery has become epidemic. Very dangerous situation no matter which way you look at it in this current crisis. The people of the hamlet, village, and town are supposed to be their brothers keeper,.. historically speaking. Without an "elected" Sheriff (having the force of arms) in town to investigate, arrest, detain criminals, means chaos ensues. Any individual who knowingly and intentionally distributes drugs and toxic chemicals into the community that poisons our people, land, air, and water is committing a criminal act. I am sure that if I sprayed toxic chemicals from my balcony into your back yard, you would take issue with this, correct? How about dumping arsenic into your well water? This happened in Powell River BC 5 years ago. Many people became seriously ill. I have my suspicions! Only 2 laws needed folks; cause no harm, injury, or loss, and do everything you promised to do. That's it. Now, wrongdoer(s) have their day in court, are given an opportunity to redeem themselves of wrongdoing , and restore the damage done. Failing this they are outcast. Remember the old "Wanted Dead or Alive" posters. Those who operate outside the laws of the land are considered Outlaws, and an Outlaw has no more rights than a wild animal during hunting season. We all know who the bad guys and girls are folks. Be and stay civil unless you like the chaos. So, am I being to harsh or what?
